I’m not quite sure where to start when writing this blog. There are so many words I want to write about this wedding and this couple, but I could probably write a novel! When Brittney reached out to me about photographing her September wedding at Talon Winery in Lexington, Kentucky I was SO excited because it is by far one of my favorite venues! After I met Brittney and Matthew during their engagement session, I was even more excited about their wedding because of how amazing Brittney and Matthew were; not to mention how cute their dog, Lola, is!

Leading up to their wedding, we stayed in contact a lot. I love making real connections with  my couples, and I definitely did with Brittney and Matthew. When their wedding day came, I was SO excited. Seriously, the entire drive up to Lexington, I was nothing but smiles because I knew the day was going to be perfect!

When I arrived to the venue, everything looked so pretty. I love the getting ready room at the winery. It has the perfect lighting for photos! The day was so relaxed and just so fun. I loved getting to not only photograph the day, but hang out with so many amazing people that was apart of Brittney and Matthew’s wedding. We had PEFERCT light all day. Seriously. It was sunning during the right moments,  the clouds covered the sun in the most perfect times during the day for photos, and then we had one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a long time! Gosh, Kentucky is just gorgeous year round, but especially on this Friday afternoon and evening in September.

The ceremony and reception was so special and fun. So many people that Brittney and Matthew were close with played such a big part in their wedding, and I could feel so much LOVE the entire time. I know I shed a tear or two during the day. I’m actually holding back tears while I’m typing this just thinking of how blessed I am to know this amazing couple and their family’s now.

It is hard to pick a favorite moment of the day, because every moment seemed just that…perfect. I will say, Miss Lola stole the show a few times and she definitely photobombed so many of the photos, but some of my favorite ones have her in them. I could tell Brittney and Matthew were ready to go into the reception right before I captured the last sunset photo in the blog. I don’t blame then, but it was quite hot outside, but when the sunset popped out I was excitedly asking them to let me take one more photo, then the last sunset photo happened! The perfect sunset shot, with Miss Lola staring up at her mommy and daddy. It seriously melts my heart whenever I look at it!

Brittney looked stunning in her Essence of Australia dress from White Dress of Lexington, while Matthew sported a cool barrel tie from Pappy and Company! All of the gorgeous flowers were created by Brittney and her amazing mother, and the film scans from this wedding were developed by the awesome Photovision Printing. Videography was done by the very talented Alyson Biggs Videography, so make sure to catch that video at the end of the blog too! I was also SO blessed to have their wedding feature over at Wedding Chicks last month too! I was so excited about that 🙂

Brittney and Matthew, thank you SO much for allowing me to be apart of your day and thank you for inviting me into your lives. I’m so glad we are friends now!
